Problem of the Week Reflection
I feel that to help me benefit in the future, I need the skills that POWs have given me. I have learned to ask for help from my peers, to understand that math is beneficial in any career or path that you take because it is used everyday, and it has helped me grow as a more hands on student. POWs are "problems of the week" and in order for me to solve these I ask for help from my peers, either for me to get a better understanding of the problem or so that I know that I am doing the problem correctly. POWs are a way for anyone to be given real world situations in a mathematical problem. When I first started POWs I felt that they were a waste of time and that they would not help me but after trying them and solving a few I feel that they give me a different perspective in a sense that math does not have to be about exaggerated equations but can actually be used in a beneficial way to solve real world problems.
